The Business mail service is compatible with the main and most popular email clients but, in general, it is compatible with all clients supporting the following protocols:

  • POP
  • IMAP
  • SMTP

For sharing address books and calendars, the supported protocols are:

  • CardDAV
  • CalDAV
  • Microsoft® Exchange ActiveSync

Outlook Email configuration

To configure the email account, you need to use the POP or IMAP protocols for receiving messages, and SMTP for sending.

  • Click on File menu;
  • Click on Add account button;
  • A window will appear on the screen. Enter the email address to configure;
  • Click on Advanced options and check Let me set up my account manually;
  • Proceed by clicking on Connect;
  • Select IMAP from the available options.

In the screen that will open, you need to configure parameters as shown below:

Incoming mail

  • Server: imap.emailpnl.com
  • Port: 993
  • Encryption method: SSL/TLS

Outgoing mail

  • Server: smtp.emailpnl.com
  • Port: 465
  • Encryption method: SSL/TLS

Once the parameters are set, confirm by clicking on the Next button.

  • Enter the email account password;
  • Click on Connect;
  • Confirm the insertion of the new email account by clicking Done.

Thunderbird Email configuration

To configure the Qboxmail email account on Mozilla Thunderbird, you need to use the POP or IMAP protocols for receiving messages and SMTP for sending.

  • In Menu ( ☰ ), click on Settings;
  • Go to Account settings;
  • In the pop up window, click on Account Actions;
  • Choose Add Mail Account.

Enter the data relating to your email account.

  • Name: the name to be displayed as the sender in the emails sent by the program;
  • Email address: your email address, as well as the username of the mail account;
  • Password: the password of the email account.

In this screen, you must manually set the connection parameters to;

iPhone/iPad Email configuration

To configure your email account on Apple Mail, you need to use the POP or IMAP protocols for receiving messages and SMTP for sending.

  • Open Settings;
  • Choose from the list Mail;
  • Click on Accounts, then on Add account and select Other;
  • Choose Add Mail Account.

A window will open on the screen. Enter the following information:

  • Name: name displayed in the sender field;
  • Email: email address to be configured;
  • Password: the password of the email account;
  • Description: a description to be assigned to the email account.

Once these fields alle filled in, click Next and complete the rest of the items relating to the email server:

  • Choose whether to use IMAP or POP;
  • Incoming server - Host name: imap.emailpnl.com or pop.emailpnl.com;
  • Outgoing mail server - Host name: smtp.emailpnl.com;
  • Username and Password: enter your email address and password as username for both the incoming and outgoing mail server (even if it is indicated as an optional field, enter it anyway)

Confirm the settings entered by clicking on Next. Finally, select Mail and Note in the following window and click on Save.

After completing these steps, the Apple Mail client will begin to download the messages of the configured account from the email server.

Android Email configuration

To configure the email account on an Android device, you need to use the POP or IMAP protocols for receiving messages and SMTP for sending.

  • Open the client after installation (if already installed and configured, then click on the gear icon in the side menu and choose Add account);
  • Choose Other;
  • Enter username and password of the box to be configured and confirm with the Sign In key;
  • Select the type of account IMAP account.

A window will open on the screen. Enter the following information:

  • Email address: email address to configure;
  • User name: full email address;
  • Password: the password of the account;
  • IMAP server: imap.emailpnl.com;
  • Security type: SSL;
  • Port: 993;
  • SMTP server: smtp.emailpnl.com;
  • Security type: SSL;
  • Port: 465;
  • Require authentication to send emails: YES;
  • Confirm the username and password to be used for sending;
  • Click Sign In.

Once this is done, the configuration window will close and the client will start to synchronize your mail from the server. You can check that the email synchronization time frame is set correctly by following the steps shown below:

  • Open the side menu;
  • Click on the gear icon;
  • In the list, click on the account just configured;
  • Check the value of the item Email sync period and set 1 month.
